Korea’s End of Life Vehicles Legislation

Korea’s 2007 Act for Resource Recycling of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles (referred to as RoHS) creates a framework to hold producers and importers responsible for their use of resources. The law addresses the use of hazardous substances, recyclability of materials, collection of ELVs, recycling rates, and information exchange through an on-line database.
