Expired Federal EE Tax Credits

Several federal tax credits for energy efficiency were allowed to expire recently, including Sec. 25C Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit for Existing Homes, the Sec. 45L Energy Efficient Home Credit, and the Sec. 179D Commercial Building Tax Deduction. These credits originally expired in 2016, but were given a retroactive one year extension into 2017.
