2016 CalGreen Building Code

The 2016 CalGreen Building Code (specifically sections 5.106.5.3 and A5.106.5.3) stipulates a required number of parking spots and EV chargers for parking lots of different sizes. There are also stricter voluntary standards under “Tier 1” and “Tier 2” for installing EVSE parking. This standard applies to new buildings in California designated as “green” buildings.
