Vancouver Zero Emissions Buildings plan

Vancouver has published a Zero Emissions Buildings plan (2016) aiming to achieve zero emissions on all new construction by 2030. It empowers the city to require green buildings in any rezoning project, defines low-carbon energy systems for city bylaws, and empowers the Director of Planning to use discretion to advance multifamily projects built to zero emissions standards, or relax regulations for projects designed for Passive House or Zero Energy Certification.
