Seattle’s Healthy Streets Pilot

Seattle, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, adopted a Healthy Streets pilot that shut down 20 miles of streets in order to allow pedestrians and cyclists more room to move while socially distancing. It was announced in May 2020 that the pilot would become permanent.
