San Francisco’s Green Building Code

San Francisco’s Green Building Code (2017) requires new residential buildings to be installed with solar energy systems that meet a minimum requirement for per foot energy production. The San Francisco code integrates a portion of the California Code of Regulations that requires new buildings to have 15% of total roof area available for solar panels.
