Proposed Solar Energy Research and Development Act of 2019

The proposed Solar Energy Research and Development Act of 2019 directs DOE to carry out an RD&D program that improves the capacity, efficiency, reliability, security, and affordability of solar energy technologies. It also establishes grants for solar energy technology demonstration projects that have the greatest potential to reduce energy costs and improve U.S. manufacturing capabilities, grid integration, and resilience.
