New York Fracking and Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling Bans

New York banned fracking in 2014, becoming the first state with large potential reserves to do so, effectively through a final environmental impact statement that recommended not establishing any fracking permitting procedure. New York also banned offshore oil and gas drilling with the passage of AB 2572 (2019).
