Oregon’s Battle with Jordan Cove Energy Project

The Jordan Cove Energy Project seeks to build a liquified natural gas project off the Oregon coast. The Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development objected to Jordan Cove Energy Project’s certification of the LNG project as consistent with Oregon’s Coastal Management Program. This decision means that, absent a reversal by the Secretary of Commerce, FERC and USACE cannot issue the permits JCEP needs for the project to proceed.
