New Jersey’s A-3723 and Implementing Order

2018’s A-3723 requires each utility to implement energy efficiency measures to reduce electricity usage by 2 percent and natural gas usage by 0.75 percent annually.

In 2020, NJ’s PUC issued an order requiring utilities to go beyond these targets, meeting annual energy savings targets that ramp up to 2.15% of electric use and 1.1% of gas use in the fifth program year.
