Massachusetts Geo-Grid Pilots
In Massachusetts, three natural gas utilities are pursuing geo-grid pilot projects. Throughout 2022, utilities Eversource, National Grid and Columbia Gas plan to break ground on separate pilot projects testing the viability of projects that replace neighborhood gas pipeline networks with pipes that capture and share thermal energy underground.
