DC Act A23-0539

This bill provides energy efficiency standards for various appliances that are offered for sale or installed in the District of Columbia. One year after this bill is enacted, new covered products must meet or exceed established efficiency standards. If any of the federal energy or water conservation standards are withdrawn or voided, the minimum energy or water efficiency permitted for those products subject to federal energy or water conservation standards shall be the previously applicable federal standards and no such new product may be sold or offered for sale unless it meets or exceeds such standards.
