California Incentive Program for Biogas Interconnection Costs

The California PUC established an incentive program under which biogas facility owners may recover up to 50% of interconnection costs to a maximum amount of $1.5 million. The program was subsequently expanded by the state legislature, which provided additional funding for certain dairy biogas facilities, enabling them to recover up to $5 million for interconnection costs (codified at Cal. Pub. Util. Code §399.19)
