Vermont’s Pollinator-friendly Solar Generation Standard

Vermont’s Pollinator-friendly Solar Generation Standard requires that solar developers claiming their solar site is beneficial to pollinators and birds are assessed to address specific planting and management designs. Vermont uses a pollinator friendly scorecard published by the University of Vermont Extension to determine if the site meets a beneficial habitat standard. Sites can be built to this standard or retrofitted after construction.
