Oregon Phasing Out Natural Gas Extension Subsidies

Starting in November, 2024, Oregon’s largest gas utility, NW Natural, will be required to phase out the subsidy for helping new customers connect to the utility, according to a Public Utility Commission Order.  The subsidy must be phased out completely by November, 2027. Oregon’s PUC follows similar examples from California, Colorado, and Massachusetts.
