Impacts of the ReImagine Appalachia and Clean Energy Transition Programs for Pennsylvania

A January 2021 report by the Political Economy Research Institute outlines the benefits of an economic plan created by ReImagine Appalachia that includes climate policies. The economic plan is expected to create an estimated 243,000 jobs, including 162,000 clean energy jobs focused on clean manufacturing, building electric vehicle charging stations, upgrading to smart grid systems, and sustainable transportation. The report estimates that an annual investment of $31 billion in public and private funding would be required to facilitate the programs.
