Illinois’ Climate Hubs Legislation

In May 2022, Illinois passed legislation establishing a grant program for Climate Works Hubs. These Hubs shall recruit, prescreen, and provide preapprenticeship training related to opportunities and certifications relevant to clean energy jobs in the construction and building trades; and provide preapprentices with stipends not less than the State minimum wage.
