Georgia Fuel Tax Exemption Expiration

In 2019, Georgia’s General Assembly failed to renew a tax exemption on jet fuel that they’d given airlines for more than a decade. House Bill 447, intended to grant a 20-year extension to fuel tax breaks, stalled in the Senate, meaning taxes from 4% to 6% began applying in July 2019.
