Berkeley’s gas ban in new homes

Berkeley has banned the use of natural gas in low-rise residential buildings. As the California Energy Commission develops all-electric building standards for mid-rise, high-rise, and commercial buildings, the natural gas ban will automatically apply to newly constructed buildings of those types as well.
