Carbon Sequestration Certification Program

Established by the Oklahoma Carbon Sequestration Enhancement Act, the Oklahoma Carbon Program provides state-backed verification of carbon offsets, which supports a voluntary offset programs in agriculture, forestry, and geologic sequestration. In agriculture, certification covers practices such as decreasing tillage, managing vegetated areas, and reforestation.

The Program offers fee-based verification of carbon offsets to participating aggregators who hold carbon contracts with agriculture producers and forest landowners.
